red stripe for the p2 bumper

Post by soupapes »

Hi! I just bought a phase 2 valver, but the bumpers dont have the red stripe and Citroën does not supply it anymore.

Do you know where i can find these stripes in red?

there are a lot of companies that do platic and rubber inserts to almost any shape, they usually have catalogues with the shapes, or you can trim a length off and see if they can match it. I used a company in Burnley, Lancashire about 3 years ago for some plastic trim for a kit car and the range was huge. I've no idea of there details unfortunately.

I used some 2 core electrical flex cable, the type you can buy from B+Q to wire up a lamp etc. Then just simply sprayed it with a can of red from halfords and stuck it in,its a near perfect fit.
If you go for Renault Carmen red its almost identical to the origanal red of that bumper stripe.
hope that helps you

I used a red adhesive tape for my front bumper till I find something better. From a distance it's hard to tell the difference. Just don't come too close. :D
