Good news for the bx

Post by Simran »

Hello people!

Just letting you all know im still alive. I have been busy settling in back home after returning from uni and searching desperately for a job, any job. The good news is i now have a proper job at Triumph Motorcycles which can only be a good thing for my poor abandoned BX. The extremely generous employee discount on bikes means not ALL of my wage will be going on the bx as it is going to be hard to resist splashing out on a Daytona 675r or Street Triple but it should see the BX back on the road as a weekend toy. Hurrah!

That is all!

Hello stranger,

Glad to hear that you have found employment in the current market :D

I guess you are working at the Hinkley plant :?:

Yeah, i will be at the Hinckley site so its not too bad for a daily commute. Their other site is in Thailand so that would be out of the question and the fuel bills would be massive

The company I work for did an installation at that site several years ago.

I quite enjoyed those site visits :D

The factory is definitely an inspiring place to walk around, its not very big considering the amount of bikes that go out but it makes it nice and easy to get around and see everything that goes on when walking from one side to the other.

After a rough day its nice being able to go to the end of the assembly line on the way out to see some of the bikes roll off and get fired up for the first time, smells nice down there too :)
