new member infamous car

Post by JonnyGee »

just a quick hello to all,
im sure a lot of u will know the car as its the white gti off ebay with the mad engine,
ive had the car a few weeks now and the bx has yet to not put a smile on my or everyone that drives it's face.
the car is as close to mint as i have ever seen on a bx.
i am a french car enthusiast and own a 205 megane coupe and R5 Gtt and now the bx.
im not sure what im doing with the bx yet as fancy taking it to a few shows but will see how we get on with other ongoing projects first.
just a few pics of the car as the ones on ebay really didnt do the car justice

congrats on purchase - I love the fact the car is completely standard on the outside :D

Would love to see it run up the sprint against a standard 16V to see how it compares with all the bits that've been done to it.

Far as I know, this car has NEVER been shown at a French car show so will be a unique sight :D

Hope it tempts you to keep the engine where it is and scare the hell out of people.

I'd love to run out phase 1 up the strip against it

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME fro, the Mad Cornish one!

glad youve enjoyed the car so far, looked a Cracking example and in Fine fettle!!
the 2.1 rebore was a commonish way to get good big power out the lump, Would love to see the difference between it and vanilla std!

personally i'd Love to see the lump left in the bx, everyome expects a 205 to be quick, but no one ever expects a Bx to be!! and they make Great comfy cruisers!! Rag em like mad with a devils grin on ya chops, then settle fir a nice cruise in Uber comfort!!!

Dont worry about Mike 'TZD lookalike' P, he'll try and convince you a Phase 1's best!!! :P :P but we all know its P2's All the way Baby!! 8) :D
Timmo 8)

After all i am the Cornish one!

Its Because its French!

so far it has been great to pull away from some quick modern cars and the grin factor never stops.
it will be going to a few shows albeit via a trailer so may give it a strip run and see how she gets on.

Its great, that feeling when an old un embaresses a new one!! :o
last outing for the old grey shed was running a car shell to the weighbridge and on the way back had a modern van on my bum through the lanes, it was nice to blow him into the dust with a car trailer on the back
