Just discovered the same

It's like ripping off a plaster I guess - hopefully people will now start moving over here in their droves.

Also, it might be prudent to save any information that you might have on PM's from the old site as I assume they won't survive in people's old in-boxes for ever?

djoptix is in the house.

Incidentally, I'm not stirring - really I'm not - but what was the problem with simply moving the old forum to new webspace and putting in a redirect?

Thanks for the support everyone :D
Sadly the change over has not been as smooth as I first envisaged but at least we have arrived.

My main aims are to secure the bx16v.com domain name from Matthew and still to get access to the old database so that we can move over the majority of content although this may be tricky due to various reasons so all we can do is treat this as a fresh start but if we can rescue the old content then that will be a bomus.

I am hoping that at some point a more clear message will be posted on the old site/forum to help people find the new resource.

Vanny has kindly agreed to assist me with the more technical side of the forum which will A - save me a lot of stress and B - save the members a lot of stress :D as he is much quicker than I with all things pc.
We have Adrian and Mike P on board to carry on as moderators and Timmo and Jexxie are backing them up in the trading areas to help keep our cars in good hands.
Dan has decided he has enough jobs on at the moment without being a mod as well so he is having a break but may well become a mod again at a later date when he has finished with all his rushing around.

A big welcome and thankyou to everyone

Cheers

To echo Luke's sentiments exactly, I hope that all the previous forum members join us here and some of the politics that marred the previous site at times can be forgotten.

The admin and mods are here to help with a smooth transition and hope that we can carry onward and upward with the club.

I got here eventually, but as Luke knows, it was a battle.
We seemed to get hijacked halfway across the Pacific I think. (Seems to be happening everywhere these days)
Had an 800 klms fast trip on a medical emergency in mine during the week in the 16V, but it performed so well, they can't keep me out of it now.
Look forward to getting back into stride as soon as these latest dramas have settled down.

Glad you made it Alan 8)

Seems we have the same trouble as the BX Club with these forums constantly logging people off :(

Cheers
