removing skirts from fenders

Post by Arjenr »

What is the best way to remove the skirts on the front and rear fenders?

I already got the skirts from the sills removed with lots of heat. :)

Same, but check and see whether your wing nut is still wound on first! Wings are pretty flimsy, so be gentle but they do come off.

I would take the front wings off the car and then remove the bodykit.

They can have a screwed stud that passes through the wing and this has a wing nut on the back, as Kitch has already pointed out.

Use plenty of heat and be patient, otherwise you will damage the wing as the gauge of steel used on these cars is thin.

Regards the rear arch spats, again heat and patience is the key.

Good luck,
