It was wet yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Bertie qualified 31st on Saturday morning and made it up to 23rd in the race in the afternoon.

Starting 23rd for race 2 yesterday we managed to nip up into 15th before the red flag was shown. May move up a bit more yet as official results still to be declared. Under the rules cars not running at the red flag should be removed from the result which is taken from the previous complete lap.

YouTube has some good in car from dickj85 of both races - type in Brands Hatch BARC Tin Tops 03/11/2012. A certain French car appears in both 8)

Did get a mention and several shots of Bertie in action this time. I'll have to put my own camera in for this year's races!

Hi Gary, I see you're using the C5 steelies. I have a set myself (the flat faced ones) and am going about buying another set (the tapered ones). Just wondered which you're using, and what wheelbolts you are using with them?

I have a set of standard tapered bolts (steel type) for the tapered-seat wheels, so I imagine these will be an easy fit. However, I would like to use the others too (not worried about the recall as the BX weighs half a C5). Is there an off-the-shelf bolt kit that will work with these?

There is a special set complete with brace from dealer. Over the weekend I'll see if I can find the dealer code number.

Number I have is 5406-08. The kit is for the "stealth" steelies as I call 'em part no PS815011. Probably about £25, if your local dealer does not have them ask him nicely to check other dealers stock.

The 2013 racing season is upon us and hopefully we'll be back out with Bertie probably 1st race at Brands Hatch on April 20.

We have an entry for Brands Hatch on April 20/21. Mixed in with the modifieds again but it is not all bad as I've registered with them as well as Tin Tops so should score points for both championships.

Are you likely to get to Castle Combe, Gary? (forgive my ignorance about tracks, the only one I know well is Oulton, but I've moved to Bristol) If you are I'll book it in my diary to come and see you.

Round one is out of the way. 2 finishes, nothing spectacular, got to 24th from 32nd in race 1 and up to 21st for race 2. Tad annoyed at being passed under yellow flag; damned annoyed that he then slid wide into the driver's door!

Races are at Brands Hatch, Lydden, Snetterton and Silverstone.

The races over the weekend were recorded and should appear on Motors TV.

Hi Gary,

Do you have a list of dates and venues that you will be racing at over the summer?

Might try and come for a day out.

Thank you,

Next races are at Brands Hatch May Bank holiday 4/5 - 3 races.

Back to Brands for May 25th - 2 races.

Next up Lydden Hill June 15/16 - 4 races.

July 20/21 Snetterton - 2 races.

August 25 Brands Hatch GP - 2 races.

September 7 Silverstone - 2 races.

November 2/3 Brands Hatch - 4 races.

The plan is to do them all providing the car stays together and the money does not run out.
