:D ive recently bought a 2 owner 69, 000 mile bx 16v phase 2 on a 1990 H reg in immaculate condition. Just got to wait 2 weeks to pick it up as it currently has a private plate on which is being transfered to another car. Pics to come once ive got it back here.

How do you manage it Robin?! I imagine word of mouth of what you have in the garage probably gets around like minded folk lol

Look forward to pics - that's an extremely low miles P2 if all the MOT history stacks up when you start looking into it :)

Ive known the car for 7 years and yeah its local ( bodmin ) the owner ( now ex owner ) is a good friend of mine. It is a straight genuine mileage car. I didnt get it cheap though. Paid just a smidge over £2000 but I believe its worth every penny. Next step is to try and get a £2500 agreed valuation on it. Ive also just joined the ccc. Dont worry the red valver is staying too as its still going to get restored just colleting a mountain of new parts for it as I find them.

I would say that was a fair price for a low mileage car in good condition.

Good to hear that the red 16v is also staying with you, I imagined that you might be moving it on.

Looking forward to photos in due course.

You shouldn't struggle to get that valuation. Our p1 is agreed value around £3k from memory. As the saying goes - find another and put a price on it!

If you can't get sensible quotes and agreed values give me a shout and I'll check which classic insurer ours is with. Has to be garaged though....

Looks worth every penny mate :D

Get a nice stainless back box/system that mirrors the factory exhaust so it exits straight and lose the stickers off the tailgate and you're good to show by the looks of it!

Mechanically all up together I presume?

By no means a guarantee based on past experience of buying garage owner owned cars, but I take your point

Forgive me if I've missed it - is this to use daily or store away for dry days and special occasions?

Yes Adrian its all fine ( matt ) and his dad who ive had it off is an independent citroen specialist and everythings been done eg cambelt and tensioners, brakes, tyres, rear arm bearings, service etc. It runs and drives fine and as good as my red 16v.
