Where To Sell Lots Of Ph2 BX 16V Parts

Post by phil.slater1 »

Hi All,
Not sure which topic to place this enquiry in?
I have loads of BX 16V Ph2 parts to sell.
I would like to turn up with my van full and lay them out for people to see and haggle for. There is so much, it is an enormous amount of work to list, describe, post and then all the debate over as described etc etc.
From large parts to small parts.
Any suggestions gratefully received as to where to take it all, the earlier date of the venue, the better, to shift if from my workshop.
Regards
Phil Slater (ex BX 16v owner)

Hello Phil,

It would be good if you could post up a list here in the first instance, 1st dibs would be useful for the forum members.

Anything you put on here I can cross post over on the Bxclub forum.

To directly answer your question, the CCC meets over the summer would probably be your best option, but I don't think any are held in the south of England near you on the IOW. Also there are not that many Phase 2 16V owners that attend those meets.

I trust that helps.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. My want is to offload to the BX 16V community first, I used this site for getting many parts, buying cars etc. Vanny was very helpful so yes I want to go where most of the BX buffs hang out. I have a van and can travel. I believe you hold a get together in the midlands yearly?

Hi Mike, If you could place this on the BXclub forum that would be brilliant.

Phil

(There seem like many people similar to me offloading many parts at the mo, Im not after top money for any items just passing them on at a fair price)

Doors, wings, headlights, indicators, mechanical bits, etc basically anything that Bertie could use are all of interest.

I specifically need the nearside long narrow piece of 16V phase 2 trim that goes on the rear wing above the body kit and rear bumper but other parts of the body kit and driver's seat would also be very useful.

The main 4 meets that you'll find a lot of BX at are

CCC - XRally - Leicestershire - (April ish)
CCC - Northern Rally - Wetherby Race course (this weekend, 16/17/18 May)
CCC National Rally - - (July, mid)
CCC - East Midlands - Startford Race course - Late august(?)

CCC Events are here
http://www.citroencarclub.org.uk/drupal/calendar/

Most events are publicised on the BXCLub events section;
http://www.bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=10

Your best bet for speed might be to lay all the parts out, and take some high resolution pictures. Generally people in the know will tell you what they want and on here they will normally tell you how much they want to pay.

Do you have a price in mind for the whole lot?

Perhaps we could organise an 'Empty Phils Van' events, possibly while watching Gary loose some trim on the track? (By we, i mean someone else, i'm going to be rather busy in 4 weeks, for the rest of my life!)
