In the 80's only a few BX and some CX were sold
Peugeot only sold the 305 and 505.
90's Citroen sold more due to a new franchise so we see
many BX's ( alot scrapped) XM's (also few) (mainly series 1)(series2 only 10 3.0).
but many ZX and Xantia's(series1 2.0 and 1.9TD) were sold(no series2)
Evasion/Synergie 2.0
Peugeot sold were 405 GTX (carb and inj 1.9) (SR carb, SRi 2.0) and 306 sedans only.(1.8 8V) and later 406 1997>(2.0 only) afew 607 ( 10 or so) were sold.
2000> Citroen sold Xsara (1.6only) C5,C3,C8,C4(1.6),Xsara Pic 2.0.
With another new franchise C4GP,C6 3.0 and C5 2.0 but sadly with recession in no one is buying only 3 C6 sold and C5 handful.
Peugeot sold 307(1.6) ,206 (1.4, 1.6), 407 (2.0), 807 (2.0), and recently 308. (NA and turbo and GT)

We here are required to have a local assembly program which stifles
the range of models offered., fully imported cars are taxed heavily.

For many years Citroen where forced to make cars in the UK (in Slough) for mush the same reason (all imports where heavily taxed), some days i wonder if it was such a bad idea after all (it significantly increased the cost of the cars in comparison to the french varients.

Costs aside , the quality of the car suffers as ex-factory the assembly
might be by robots whereas here might be manually done.
