t16

Post by Darja »

Hi guys,

at first.. this is really great forum and site  Nice work
And I have one question, does anybody "play" with T16 engine in BX? I've got the engine, I've got my cute BX and now I'm looking for some infos.
Theoretically it's easy but practically it will be realy HC ('cause it's not just engine replacement...) It's a longterm project for me, so I'm just collecting experience from T16 owners etc.

sorry for english

regards,

Darja 8)

P.S. aand second question... nas anybody tried to upholster the dashborad?

welcome matey!

Mandic on here is doing the very same, long term project he's buil;ding up,
would make an awsome car!

no reason why you couldnt upholster the dash but would think the best method would be to have it 'Flocked' like the rally car dashboards,

nono, I don't like flock... all interior is in black leather and alcantara.. It will be not pretty flock x leather.
I just asked, because dashboard is realy complicated... Co i need an inspiration for upholstering :-)

I have no acces to "owners projects" on this forum, so I can't find it.

P.S. I found an old topic about my friend's BX 16v 4x4 here

if you have the leather alacantara then you could upholster it to match, not too sure how it would look mind,

am sure one of the admins will grant you access next time when they are on!

T16, now that is rare, if I am not mistaken there were
only 200 405 T16 ever made, how did you manage to get the engine.
I know a chap in Iran who has an ex-Shah Of Iran owned 405 T16.
When he first got it ,had to rebuild the engine, the internals were totally different and he had a tough time finding parts for the engine.

Hey Darja!

In the netherlands there is a company specialised in turbo works for the XU9 (amongst others) they really do know how to tickle your car.

this is their site:
http://www.dp-engineering.nl/

And what can you expect from their works? Well, at the moment there is a Peugeot 205 MI16 driving in Holland which delivers more then 400 Horsepower (Din) on the frontwheels

Here are some youtube films with this car starring:

Oh and by the way, you should open up a topic here with some pics of your car! She's a real beauty!

there were more than 200 T16.. I think 400? Not sure...

I was lucky and fast and got some money, that was how I got the engine. when I saw this add, I sit into C5 and went 400km for it next day.

It cost lots of money.. it's complete... just without turbo (I don't need it).

mechuccio: thx buddy, I realy enjoy this http://www.dp-engineering.nl/EN/project ... _turbo.php heh, next step for my C5? nooo, one charged car is enought 8)

Thats a very nice car, wheres that frt bumper from ..specially made?

T16, I think I am sure I read it somewhere that only 200 were made, it was for homologation for world rally and it was a must to produce 200.
Let me check wikipedia.

How much did it cost, izzit with gearbox and injection system?

add seats: It's not white, it's light silver... alcantra's easy to clean. I use foam from Sonax specialy made for alcantra.

I don't have any children.. I feel still as a young girl  And for children I'll have C5 (more safety car than BX)

add Group B: there were 200 pieces for homologation.. just like 4TC (wanna have it!) but I thinkg there were more T16.

these pics are little bit old, rear spoiler is complete now (I've put on eee how to call it? the thingies from MK II from sides) and some pieces for dashboard are upholstered.

Bumpers... yeah.. that was not a piece od cake.. I was modifieing them for all winter.. never ever do it again

front bumper.. you can see here one side after my modification and the other is normal
Image

and rear bumper... It's longer for 7cm

this was EVO 1

Image

and than I had a crazy idea to make a hole into it.. EVO 2

Image

I'll make some better pics, if you want
