mechuccio, my inlaws live in Rotterdam, so i visit semi often, my company also has a base in Holland an we have no problems with next day delivery (possibly through OCS) so i doubt getting them to you one way or another would be a problem.

phil, Stewart has promised to reply to my (lengthy) email later today. Timing wise this doesn't sound like a problem. The total time scale would give ample time to finish of welding etc of my car so that the engine can be re started.

As an aside, how would pipe purchasers feel about a group buy of stainless Jubilee branded hose clamps? ie a full set of clamps for each set of hoses? I know these can be bought considerably cheaper when ordered in greater than 10, and I personally don't know of a better brand.

Once we have a price, i have the ability to email all forum users to see if they are interested in joining the purchase, i also have a private list of non forum members/regulars with valvers as going concerns who might also be interested.

Would there be enough interest in Europe to contact other BX based forums/clubs? It might be a good time to a)drive the price down b)get plenty of stock made up?

I best go take some hoses off!

I think I'd be up for a set too... I'll be able to commit when there is a rough price :)

@Vanny, that's great!

Also I'd like to buy a set of clamps as well.
After nearly 400.000KM's my hoses and clamps are far from new so to speak :D

Hi Vanny,

Are we duplicating work, both of us talking to BakerBM. Im happy to do anything to help us get out pipes but I dont want to burden Stewart with repeat requests actions etc. Stainless clamps, absolutely - 2 sets. One for me and one for my mate.

Cheers Phil.

I forwarded your great pic of the coolant hoses to Stewart today, i also said if he wanted any pics off a car I could do that as both cars are in the garage. My red one with just the bodyshell and engine in. Its in the air so pics from below are easy.

I think we are getting there. Regards PhilS

Mates, what are these Jubilee clamps? any pics..

Guys it's only fair to you if you incur any cost when dealing with Baker's
to claim it back, we can break it down by the no. of people who wanna buy
and get Baker's to add it in the price...

So far I've got 1 extra interested person but I'd suspect to find at least 5 including myself. As soon as prices are known I can make an ad on the Dutch forums.

hoses

Post by Toddman »

I am definitely interested in a hose set and jubilee clips to suit, once prices are roughly sorted I can make a final decision as I do have two valvers to think about.

Cheers

Response To Vanny's Picture Of the Cooling - I count 12 hoses, Stewart infers this, can people check this also.
Hi Phil & Vanny,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

Thanks for the diagram.

Hoses 11&12 are the only two which I can say will be the same.

Hose 10+Metal Pipe+9 May be the same as the Lower Mi16 Heater Matrix one I already do.

That would leave 8 hoses which need making.

As you mentioned hoses 13 &14 would be tricky. Having the bleed screw will also add to the cost.

Hose No. 6 will also need a fitting.

Just pricing them up quickly I would estimate the full kit to be around £260 per kit (If a batch of 10 were made).

For the time being it would be worth seeing how many people would be interested at that price.

I would be happy to keep 5 "on the shelf" but would need 5 definite customers willing to leave deposits for this to go ahead.

All the best
Stewart

Hi ,

Have read what you have posted phill, And you can put me down for a definte. £260 doesnt sound too bad considering the tooling and 2 slighty difficult hoses to produce.

I can leave a deposit if these are going ahead. So have we got 4 other takers?

Has anyone had contact with Ian (Badlyworntoy) - the original poster of this thread recently? I paid him a lot of money for some BX bits and that was nearly three months ago and I still haven't got them. I'm sure there's an explanation - (but understandably I'm still not that impressed).

PS Does anyone here live in Middlesbrough?

Hi All,

Please remember all this can only go ahead due to the work of Vanny.

We need Stewart from BakerBm to talk to Vanny about the loan of his coolant pipes.

I am up for a set and so is my friend so to my mind that is 3 definites.

I will talk to Stewart about deposits or payment in full which would have to be refundable if he does not deliver the goods in a reasonable timescale.

I had noticed the lack of communication from badlyworntoy.
