Well done to all involved for getting this stuff organised-once i get my valver sorted, will probably order a full set, but have a few other priorities at present!

As a suggestion, could we move this thread to the FOR SALE section, as it has run its course here, thoe hoses are commercially available,, and i keep getting excited there is an update on something, only to find its another 'hose post'!

Just a suggestion, dont give a hoot if it doesnt happen, well done again to all involved.
Would rather be driving ONE 16v,than fixng TWO.

Any news?

As I am in Australia, I am feeling a bit left out on any news on the delivery of these hoses. Deposit is paid.
Any updates?

Cheers

Hi Vanny,

I have had a couple of question from participants of the group buy, I have
informed them of the delay.

I have had to keep adding bits to the main order (205 + 106 hoses), this has put the main batch back a little.

All the hoses are going to be with me by the end of next week. I will look
to take the final payments then, and start preparing to send them out.

Your sample set will be with your kit.

Kind regards
Stewart

Hello Vanny, I've been vaguely following this thread. It looks as though it's coming to fruition now. What is the best way to proceed with ordering and buying a set ( or have I missed this somewhere back in the thread?)

cheers

The details are all further back in the thread, but you need to give Stuart a call at BakerBM and he will sort you out from there. He does have spare sets unclaimed/available.

His mobile number and an email form can be found here;

Finally!

Here's a picture of a finished red set.

There has however been a slight mishap with the order.

I have a shortage of the two small 90deg. hoses (Top right of picture above).

These are being rushed through and I will cover the cost of forwarding these on to everybody in the group buy.

I will start PM/emailing everybody in the group buy now.

All the best

Also, if it is possible to make an AFM hose, I would like to order one.

Thanks..

Red hoses

Post by michael16v »

My hoses arrived today here in Australia - all red and shiny :D
Thanks to all those who have worked hard to make it happen.
Now to get the time to remove the engine for a freshen up, clean the engine bay and fit the new hoses.
Cheers

As a heads up, the top heater matrix pipe DOES fit, just rotate it on the metal pipe and it will become clear, i was scratching my head for AGES trying to get it to sit right!

Are there still any kits for sale? My 16V starts leaking coolant and experience has learned me that it's wiser to replace the whole bunch of hoses at once, than waiting for them to crack one after the other. And I also think that red will look great under the bonnet.
