part number diesel fan switch

Post by qcom29 »

Hi all, sorry i suspect everyone is really sick of the same question bout the diesel fan sensor. Clearly most of you have installed the diesel radiator fan swtich in place of the regular switch used on the 16V. I cant seem to get one here (in Australia) not sure why? Iam gonna have to order from overseas does anyone have the actual part number ? or the one featured on the GSF site (says it fits all BX's) is that the one i need?

cheers

Not sure of Citroen part number.

Any make with the lower range and 3 pole connection should be OK.

TZD type I fitted Pt. No. CI? (CE) XEFS 31 (TZD Type) -- 88-83. 84 -79

Believe there is an alternative type below for the TZD
Would have thought the higher temp range to extreme where you are.

Alternative Pt. No. FAE 3780 -- B15 E -- 88-83. 92-87 . 29mm spanner size

Would also recommend changing the stat at the same time to TZD type at 82°C
And a good rad flush with the radiator out.

Stat stars to open at 82°C and fully open at 90°.
Ties in nicely on the 16v fitted with the lower temp switch.

The fan/s should cut in on slow speed at approx 91-92°C gauge wise, as there is about 8-10°C temp difference between the positions of the rad temp switch and gauge sender.

Hope this may help.
