Hi Jack

Sorry to hear that. Depending on your model the fuel pump relay will either be under the bonnet by the offside inner wing, or under the driver's seat by the ECU.

In the past I've had starting issues caused by poor earthing of the ignition module and the crank angle sensor on top of the gearbox. But as I', sure you are aware, there are a million different reasons why it may not be starting. Only thing to do it be methodical and work through everything one at a time!

I usually start on the electrical side of things and ensure there's a spark before progressing to fuel.

Pump relay, is it clicking when you turn the key?

I've also had this problem before on more than one of my 16v's.

Sounds stupid I know but put a new set of plugs in it, you maybe suprised!

it is running again now, turned out to be a bad connection to the crank sensor! thanks for the pointers everyone.
