Just watched the video of the running up after exhaust fitting - that sounds gorgeous, if a bit rattly at the top end presumably from being stored?
Did I read your gallery right and this engine used to run on LPG?
Would the conversion work OK on right hand drive?
How's the handling given that lump must weigh more than an 8V GTI?
Like the way it's been kept fairly standard looking as well, my kind of car
Adrian
V6 in BX?
The rattly noise was because the engine hadn't run for two years and the hydrolic lifters were empty.
The engine used to run on LPG (liquid petrol gas) in the 605 where the engine came from, so I needed to alu-weld the holes for the LPG injectors.
The conversion would be OK on a RHD car. In fact the BX would be a great car to do it on, because the exhaust manifold sits quite high, so it clears the antirollbar.
Handling is the same as a normal 1.9GTi 8V..you don't actually feel the weight sitting in front, but on high speeds you do notice that the car feels more stable.
Thanks for the compliments
