Any Bt phone bill payers??

Post by Timmo »

Recently got my bill for december/jan period and noticed soemthing a little odd,
my package with Bt is Option 2 which is free evening and weekend calls inc. bankholidays,
now happened to notice that on my bill i have been cgharged for making calls on Christmas day! Now as Christmas day with exception of some Muslim countries is an international holiday and in the U.K. classes as a Bank holiday calls on Christmas day should be classes as free!

its not the cost of the calls thats the issue but the principle of it!

might be worth checking your bills incase they have charged you too when they shouldnt!

have emaild BT so will see what they reply with!!

thought may be of interest to any of you with BT!

Do you guys have anything like this over there?

http://www.engin.com.au/

Costs me A$14.95 a month for all local and national calls regardless of how many I make and how long I'm on the phone, plus phone rental from Telstra (Oz = to Bt) and 3.5 cents a minute to the UK and 22 cents a minute to mobiles.
Great service and reception and you don't need to be tied up on a contract unless you want to be.

Thats not bad darts that Alan.

I dont homnestly know if we have deals like that over here or not TBH.
I'm lazy and just went with BT.
Although they've been nothing but grief from the outset and their IT support is rubbish.
I might find the time to actually see if there's anything better out there one day.....

hey guys,
its typical for them to do things like this, i hate it when companys muck up and you end up paying for it. ive just bought my first uk house and i called bt to tell them im moving and they told me it was going to cost £124 for them to get an engineer out to my new house to connect the phone when there is already a bt line and plug in the new place. they say its a charge i must pay for the engineer to go out and check it at ther exchange.!! bull me thinks so i told them i will pay off the line rental for the remainder of the contract then to cancel it. so im gonna go with virgin i thinks and get tv, internet and phone for cheaper. but man bt sucks.

Dont talk to me about bloody BT! The seem to think its acceptable to charge me over £60 a month for landline and internet, I dont use the landline ever and the NET i use maybe for 2 hours a day.

Needless to say im looking to change providers.

I'm paying £20 a month with Talktalk for 8mb broadband, free 24/7 Uk calls & line rental, I just have to pay for the odd mobile & 08** calls, I've been with them over a year and I've never paid more than £22 in a month :D Time to ditch BT Tim, there's plenty of better deals out there.
