Proper BX front door speakers

Post by Mike E (uk) »

Spotted these: Item number: 220022547274

these are the genuine Citroen up-grade front speakers, far superior to the black paper coned items, and fit straight in.

Standard or upgraded speakers alike are not that good full stop. I've had both black and yellow coned Citroen fit speakers and TBO £20 Halfrauds jobs were alot better all round, but if you want to keep your BX standard and factory i guess the yellow cones are an improvement.

They were certainly better than the original items in my car.

I never managed to stop aftermarket speakers rattling on the speaker covers in my car.

I agree the Halfords type speakers would probably have been superior otherwise.

They are the same as the ones I removed from my car as well but I uprated mine by adding a bead of neoprene to the support around the edge but they still couldn't handle what I wanted to give them so some Alpine components were purchased and I have to say I am very happy with them but you can still drive them hard enough to hit the cover but it would be easy enough the fit them behind the door card to stop this but I just make sure my front to rear bias is set to prevent this 8)
