BX 19 GTi Auto £125.00

Post by tim leech »

1990 G Mk2 P1, in white, 77,000 miles with history (motorinic injection)

engine, gearbox and suspension are very good, (spheres have all just been regassed), drives well.

Body tidy but bonnet needs painting as the old dear before hand fitted some AA badges which have left holes.

Interiors MINT, everything works except one front foglamps

Needs arm bearing, fuel pipe(leaking), rear exhaust hanger/boot floor repair and a couple of other bits for the MOT.

It owes me £125 + the MOT cost but I will forgo that.

Is it a sunroof one? and does it have rear electric windows and ABS?

If its non sunroof its a definate yes! and no ABS would be bonus!
could be a very quick way to get a CAT B 16v reshelled! and you're quite close to Birmingham in the grand scheme of things!

Hi Mark

I just havent got the spare cash at the moment, nor the time to get someone to do the arm bearings as thats the only bits which im going to struggle with, the last lot I had done I had to do 200 miles round trip, which is fine if the cars taxed etc.

Ive got 3 other BX's, all of which are in very good order, I want to concentrate on finishing them off, plus in Feb I have a project I need time and cash for.

Will be going on ebay this weekend.

Are the arm bearings an expensive job on the Bx ? I'm quite fortunate in that a friend of mine used to work for a Citroën agent for about 14 years then a Citroën specialist in Sheffield , if your ever stuck for anything let me know and I can ask him , I'll also see if he has any parts for the Bx , he replaced my n/s electric mirror on the Zx16v with one he had in his shed for next to nothing , if he has any bits I'll pm you , Mark

Wasn't planning on breaking it, just turning it into a 16v to keep.
Don't want a sunroof - they leak, and are noisier at speed.
BX ABS is crap anyway and I learnt to drive on non ABS BX which have better pedal feel and it all weights something for no gain!
oddly enough I like rear windows because yo get a nice cross draft in summer if you open the windows on a diagonal and its cheaper than AC

Shame I binned the turdmobile 1.4 as that was perfect spec for the job but that was 5 years ago before they became rare!

Remember its a shell I want not spec! I can have as much electricall crap out of mine when the time comes! I just don't want to weld up a sunroof!! and I rather not have to tear out the ABS for something to do......
