"Finished in gleaming white, the car is immaculate, with no marks or scratches around the bodywork, and an interior that doesn't seem 20 months old, let alone 20 years !"

So whats's that mark on the offside corner of the front bumper? And the interior looks filfthy even in the poor quality photo. Even so, reckon it looks likes like quite a good buy

That actually looks worth having - I'm even half tempted!!

Has air-con as well, looking at the dash :D

IF the mapped management has been done properly and it's running throttle bodies, which looks like it is, then the cost of those parts is probably more than the asking price. Bit worried they may have chopped the inlet down too far as that air filter is set a long way back from the rad. Might need some tweaking to get best performance out of it.

Someone buy it quick before the pug boys grab it for the motor!

considering thats std good valver money its a bit of a bargain! 2.2's arnt common so much anymore but would make an Awesome car!

Adrian, i remember chris's used to have longer inlets as his filter used to be close to the slam panel?? but, Simran did some research into it iirc (as did luke a few years back), i seem to remember something about one being good for lower end grunt and other higher end, all about finding what suits best!
but agreed for that money, will be snapped up fir the lump!

BUT! amazed the cars not known of on here!! low miler enthusiast with that sort of work must have asked a few questions about??

Checked my records, and i have never seen it before. Does seem like a lot of money to have spent on a valver without it having been seen here though!

I gather it's had a deposit paid on it, according to the BX forum. Hopefully by an enthusiast but I guess only time will tell....

Does look an interesting prospect and I hope that the car is kept as a such and not pulled apart for the engine.

2.2 is a typo error in my opinion.

Maybe the 2.2 figure is to do with the XM in the pics?

Deffo running TB's and it has th A/C also.

Vanny, I know a few 16v owners with no interest in this site, the web based BX community is not for everyone

Seems a little cheap IMHO, hope its not hiding anything.
Past 16v's: 89 Ph1 Black, 90 Ph2 Grey, 89 Ph2 Black, 91 Ph2 Grey, 91 Ph2 Black.

You'd have a job to rebore those liners to 2200cc or there abouts. I think someone managed 2.1 once but it was more to do with the length of the conrod. Main reason no one bothers is because it's pretty pointless expense on the grand scheme of things.

I thought it was a bit cheap too! I've seen standard ph2's of similar condition go for more. For £1200 thats a helluvalot of gear for a 205, so don't discount the donor boys yet IMO.

just looked again, its listed as 2140cc. he explains pretty much everything in the ad. it does look tidy like @ 77k miles, and with all thats been done to it it must be worth at least 2 and a half. :D

I have a feeling this car is ex mark hughes. A bloke from cheshire who i new. Some of the work IF it is this car was done at the citroen car clinic in sandbach by the bloke (james) who built my engine. If it is marks old car all that work has definitly been done.

I have the cash to buy this but havent got the heart to get rid of my red one so i think ill just keep saving and see mine through full resto next year.
