Red 16V For Sale

Post by phil.slater1 »

My other Red BX 16V is for sale.
It has no MOT or Road Tax.
It is basically in the condition I bought it in 2 years ago.
Open to any offers.
Reg is H624 BRJ

Bought it, drove it down from Sheffield. It has been in the workshop since.
The Red paint is in good condition.
4 very good original wheels with Falken ZE912. Basically new.

I will take some pictures, the mileage is 134K.
I was going to put it back together and get MOT'd to sell. Dont have the time, or the inclination.
Its on the Isle of Wight.
If anybody is interested i'm sure it can be taken off the island somehow.
I would prefer someone from the website have it.

Just to let you all know, the car has proper grey and silver edges wheels.
Not the silver in the pics.
I am after selling the vehicle to someone who wants one.
I will try and get some pics of it loaded.

I looked at this myself when Geoff had it , other than a little bit of rust on the windscreen pillar and door pillar it looked very tidy indeed . I decided against it , do you have any pics Phil ?

Hi, Afraid not.
Nobody seemed interested.
Took out engine, kept smart original wheels and new List1A tyres and scrapped it.
Very sad really.

Thats a pity

Supply is so low of these cars but demand is even lower.

Hi Mike,

I am still in mourning actually.

I worked out the cost to MOT was probably £300, the wheels being standard speedlines with new tyres had to be sold with that car leaving me none for my present car as it has trackday wheels and tyres on. So leaving me short of spare tyres for punctures or problems at the track.

To get the car seen by anybody to come over on the IOW and then shift it to the mainland, £100 to £200.

To fix the car, - 4 to 6 weekends of evenings and weekends.

I dont have time to do what I want to do in my free time so something had to give. :(

I took my only 16v out yesterday and it was nice just whizzing it around before the next trackday.

Very true, the IOW location could have counted against you.

Do you have any photos of your other 16V :?:

Hi Mike P,

I thought so when I bought it also. The underneath of the car was actually beaten to pulp by overzealous buchers with jacks. The front crossmember had also been used as a jacking point, it was bent up in the centre with a nice inprint of the jack. I specifically cur the crossmember of another car for this to directly replace it.
My intension was always to sort it but space is at a premium i'm afraid.
