Breaking 16TRS

Post by Gary C »

F plate 16 TRS auto in Blanc Cremant (Ambrosia rice pudding colour).

Drives very nicely and overall the car is in very good condition apart from a crease in driver's door.

Engine is on a Weber carb, belt change 6000 miles ago. Gearbox smooth in operation.

Upholstery is a cream tweed with light brown panels to door cards and is in superb condition. Dash is brown with single spoke wheel. Back seat looks if nobody has ever sat on it. Parcel shelf has 2 x pull up blinds. Boot trim is all in black.

All electrics working including tilt/slide sunroof which glides to and fro. Front and rear leccy windows. Also has a sunroof deflector fitted.

Need to strip this asap so open to offers on all parts except headlights, indicators, wings, doors, etc that can be used on race car.

Willing to "swap" doors, wings, etc, if someone wants them in this particular colour.

Car is near Gatwick.

Have started stripping this out. Many of the parts are no good for the 16v but if you need window regs/motors or sunroof bits, boot trim, seat belts etc it could be your lucky day.

Hi Gary,

I suspect I may have missed the boat here, but you don't happen to have a drivers window seal from this car do you? No worries if not.

Cheers,

Sim

Looks like my reply disappeared into the ether.

Should be picking up more doors soon. Is it the rubber seal from top edge of door to glass you require?

Hi Gary,

Yes, its the seal that seals the glass into the door frame. I bought one off someone on ebay a while back but it got split complete in half during postage so ended up being in worse condition than the torn one in my car!

Let me know if you have one and what you want for it.

Cheers,

Sim

Keep meaning to post about door seal. It looks mighty fine. Are you anywhere near Leicester Forest services?
