1990 Grey ph2 16v

Post by Kitch »

*I've edited the essay to keep it simple and put all the pictures in a photobucket album  *

I'm selling the grey BX 16v I've been working on for the last few months. I'm happy to say its redy to roll, but sad to see it go.

Its a 1990 G plate ph2 16v. D6C engine, 160bhp.

87k miles. 1 full years MOT. FDSH and lots of reciepts.

Image

No tax or radio comes with the car, but its a very clean example with hardly any rust in any of the usual places. The engine runs very very sweetly and the car pulls hard to the 7200rpm redline. It doesn't use any oil, smoke or use any water. The cambelt and headgasket have just been changed and the car has had a 75k mile block fitted as the original unit had duff big end bearings.

Hydraulics are fine, no leaks and the PAS works very well. Suspension rises and falls very quickly. Only thing I've noticed yesterday is the front N/S strut groans a little bit when going right up high.....in honesty this car hasn't been used on the road since Febuary and I'm sure a good run will do it wonders. It rides very smoothly and the spheres are in good shape.

Interior is in immaculate condition.

Only issues with the car are very slight ones:

The plastic T-piece on the LHM resevoir cap has broken (surprise!) see picture
The trim around the front headling is buckled out of shape (hardly noticable) - see picture
Gearknob is cracked on the very top and won't fully tighten up
Alloys have the usual corrosion around the silver rim

For full pictures on the car please click here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v291/ ... 0BX%2016v/

£1,000 buys the car.

If I didn't have one already and I had somewhere to put it I'd rip your arm off!

Judging by the photo's you may wana put some gas in it before taking it for the MOT!!

Looking a good job there Richard :D

With a thorough clean and polish you should get close to the asking price, when people come to view make sure the Used Car Roadshow DVD is playing on the TV in the background :D
