Gutmann wheels on Bx - Tyre size?
I decided to go with tapered wheel bolts. The 5mm spacers had big holes in the middle and not hubcentric for the Citroen/Peugeot size, so a bit awkward to line up for getting the wheel bolts into the hub.

But not really from the back, lost within the cars profile and arches:
Thanks for the positive comments, I have to admit I wasn't totally convinced myself until I'd got the tyres on a pair of the wheels and fitted to a side of the car to see the total effect.
All I've got left to do now is get 4 centre caps for the wheels, can anybody recommended a place to start looking, can you still buy them

Quick update:
I've managed to track down some original Gutmann wheel centres, hoping to have them in time to fit for the CCC meeting on the 15th July. If not, I've got some Peugeot ones coming as well that I've been told fit and 4 stick on Citroen Chevrons on a black background to mackle into some sort of Blue Peter esque wheel centre.
Handling wise, feels pretty much the same as standard but maybe a bit more camber sensative as I felt the Green 16v did on 17"x7" wheels. Ride quality isn't effected as you've still got a 50 tyre profile for some cushioning.
Grinding the arches to clear:
Now this is where the fun started. I've had to spend 2 nights with the sanding disc on a grinder to get them to clear the inner lip of the outer arch.
When I fitted the 17" wheels to the Green 16v, I only had to trim the metal inner lip back to flush with the outer GRP bodykit return. This time, I've had to do that and also take 3mm off this bodykit lip to give the wheels decent clearance. Wondered if this was due to the low offset of the wheels.
I've also had to smooth and open out the area where the arch extension joins the sill bodykit extension. Not for driving clearance, but for when the suspension comes down. It was touching the tyre and as the car spends a lot of time in the garage slammed to the floor I didn't want a mark pushed into the tyres.
I will put a final picture up once the wheel centres are sorted and hopefully be sorted this week on the MOT to make it to the CCC show.
