I managed to put a hole in the sump of my Leon TDi last week, and as it uses a VW engine GSF was my first port of call for a replacement.
First one I got had a hairline crack that didnt show up until if had been fitted and filled with oil (looks like a casting defect to me), second one is crack free but the holes for the oil level sensor were 1/4" too short for the standard bolts.
And both of them leak oil out around the sump plug!
Don't know about Citroen bits these days, but their VW spares seem a bit cheap and nasty to me!
Damn GSF!

Sounds about right mate.
They're no better for Citroën bits, assuming you can persuade them to get off thier ar$es and actually order BX bits, since they lost interest in BX's years ago.
