Harmonic balancer desperately needed.....

Post by NZ16v »

the one on the car we had our little disaster with was shot, and has been repaired badly at some stage-it works, but is deteriorating rapidly. It would be good to get hold of a good 2nd hand one if possible-anyone got one, or know the whereabouts of one?

NZ do you mean the front crankshaft pulley or do you mean the fuel system pulsation damper at the rear of the car ?

I think im gonna go down the new route-its $300NZD, but it will cost me that much in lost time waiting for a 2nd hand one to pop up. Chur.

if you could have a looksee-its not superlight, but pretty small so hopefully not a killer on postage. That said, i bought a 47 squid 306GTI-6 inlet manifold, and it cost 100 squid to get it here!!!!!!!! I was flabbergasted. If you could look into it would be great, if its prohibitive so be it!I think i will end up fronting the 300 bucks for a new one....

is this what you mean????

if so looks like its going to be around £20 ish postage, wont know for sure unless i take it down the post office! but letters up to 1400grams are £2250 and small packets are £15 so not sure what they will class it as!
i could most likely get it in the post on turesday at the earliest (when i get paid next!) via airmail??

Had a feeling it would be the crankshaft damper.

Sadly I let my only spare go to doc after he revealed what citroen were charging!!

Yes they're rather extortionate!

Happily the damper I got from you now sits on the end of my crank and is doing a stirling job of stopping my crank from smashing itself to pieces!

I still have the one that came off the car, but it's mullered to hell and back.
