My days work in a Citroen workshop
After having aggro trying to remove a rounded bolt from my rotor arm, i spoke to my mechanic on Monday to get him to sort it out for me, but his reply was "i am snowed under this week and my sidekick is on holiday so it will have to be next week, but if you bring it down you can do it yourself", and he also asked if i wanted to help him for the day.
So today was booked off from work yesturday . It's been like i was 15 again and on a work placement Done a radiator on a Rover 600,(yeah i know its not a Cit) serviced a Saxo, done the best part of the rear arm bearing on a Bx estate, sorted out my rotor arm, fitted a lower speedo cable and treated the 16v to an oil flush and refil with 5/40 synthetic oil .
All in all it has been a fun day, work of a completly different type which is always nice plus my wages turned out to be the cost of all the parts i used on my car so as you can guess i'm well chuffed and the car is now running sweet.

Agree, theres nowt wrong with the 1600i, its the others lesser models that get the bad reputation! Nearly bought one when they were a few hundred quid..... went up in price, a few months later, argh
Just sold my Bros 1.6 orion which he modded a bit, suprisingly nice to drive, and will out corner the BX all day long on shitty mis match tyres...

My cousinn has a good condition 1600i - I didn't want to say nice but he is rebuilding it with a turbo lump.
I had an orion with full RS pack which allegedly had better springs and shocks and I can safely say my valver would run rings round it in every stretch of driving.
Cheers

mate of mine had an Orion 1.6 Ghia with decent lowered suspension, tarox brakes, Janspeed exhaust, Yokohama tyres and a decent head - went like stink, and handled very well (can't remember the suspension kit, but remember it was pukka at the time)
Had it from new, did 150k between father and son before it ended up wrapped around a tree - only after getting written off by a police car on a blind crest in Cornwall
