Bring back tax exemption for vehicles over 30 years old

Post by SimonA »

E-petition to bring back the tax exemption on any vehicle over 30 years old.

Basically the government do not think anything after 1972 is a classic.

Please pass this on
... and there are unknown unknowns

No amount of signatures will change this...

The exemption was a nice idea at the time but even the fact they still allow the current system to continue goes well against the "environmental" needs of today.

The government can't be seen to be encouraging us to keep old smelly fume pumping bangers... otherwise what's the point of offering Zero tax to NEW low emission cars...?

It's all a pile of wank really.

I think we should either scrap road tax or it should be based on the physical SIZE of a vehicle and therefore the amount of SPACE it takes up on the road. How does a "low emission" car use any less road then my car? How does it wear the tarmac less i wonder???

Like i said, pile of wank.

TIA.
Now listen here you mullet...

Also, there's about 40 of these damn petitions floating about...

Not a particularly organised way of grouping signatures...
