I weighed mine with a 195/60 tyre a week ago and it was 15.6kg

Fill them with Helium, they'll weigh less

They're not actually steel, they're alloy, and they are the ones to have
The ones with flat bolt faces were recalled for cracking though - but I should think on a much-lighter-than-a-C5 BX they will be OK. Regular inspection is probably a good plan though.
