white bx 16v project h plate

Post by JonnyGee »

i am putting my white H plate bx 16v up for sale as i have way to many projects to get it finished.
the body is mint covering 77k and the interior is like brand new in every way
downside is the engine and gearbox are out at the moment and would need refitting
but i have lots of spares and goodies that can go with the car
it had new spheres all round about 2 years ago
and brand new genuine fogs
im looking for purely what she is worth in parts and would be a massive shame to break such a clean example
£475 i am open to offers and will happily show u around the car

What was the reason for engine and box removal and is anything other than refitting required to have it road legal and running well?

hi the original engine that came with the car was modified so has only very recently been removed
the car wont need much if anything to get through an mot and run really well
the engine i have to go in a a genuine bx engine as opposed to the 405 lump.
the engine came out of a 50k doner that was crashed.
feel free to pm me if u would like a look
cheers
Jon

I'm not in the market personally but thought it was an obvious question to ask to help the chances of a sale

If it doesn't sell as is will you put the engine in and get an MOT?

I suspect it'll make stronger money in that condition as most people who don't mind a bit of a rolling restoration do at least need to be able to drive the car home

Just out of curiosity, what were the modifications to the original engine?

Thanks,

Hi,

It looks a nice car, would there be any chance of you re-fitting the engine and gearbox to get it running/moving?

Thanks.

You have to be a member to see that topic, as it is within the for sale section.

I would say that it has been bought to be put back on the road :D

Depends how well the original engine was taken out and what state the hydraulic pipes etc are like afterwards.

I will probably be proved wrong though.

I wish, Mrs Mike would divorce me :!:

I was tempted to go and look at, as not that far away but decided not too as I would have bought it, knowing me

I have messaged the new owner through the 205 forum to clarify the situation, will keep you posted.
