Octopuss availability?

Post by michael16v »

Hi
Anyone know where I can get the 2 new octopus return lines from? I have looked on the internet without any success. Contact details would be appreciated of a supplier.
Cheers

Hi Michael,

I bought one about a month ago from DS motors in brisbane ~$130.
They may be able to post one to you if you get really stuck.

DS MOTORS (only Citroen Parts and Service)
11 Woolcock Street,
RED HILL, 4059.
Phone/Fax 07 3368 1533

I think GSF used to sell them, though I can only find strut returns on this page http://www.gsfcarparts.com/virtualcateg ... 5-Petrol-4

It's worth phoning around your local cit workshops, good to support local business. http://www.citroencarclub.org.au/index. ... &Itemid=16

I'd try continental cars and european auto care.

Hope that helps.

Chris, ps did you ever find another mudflap?

Hi Chris
Thanks for the info, will contact a few places. Re the mud flap - no luck. :(
I will be replacing the engine over winter - cold months project - and figure that will be the best time to replace the octopus lines.
Cheers

Yes that sounds like a plan, I've just put my engine back in, I checked my octopus over, it all seems well routed and the rubber seems supple enough so I didn't bother replacing it, even though I have a spare.
I'm sure it will be leaking by next week

Any special plans for your engine?
If so start a project thread in the projects!

Shame about the mudflap, I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Well, engine out and I pressure cleaned the engine bay. I removed the octopus's and pressure cleaned again.
The hard part is going to remember the routing for the new octopus's :?
The replacement engine is ready to go in and I am replacing a lot of other items as I have them out or I now have access.
Spending far too much money, but what the heck I am better spending time and money on the BX16v than at the pub  What did I just say EEEK.
