Hi all,
I'm trying to track down a current part number for the BX 16V altenator belt tensioner, which is an offset pulley that bolts onto the bottom of the alternator tension bracket.
I have two part numbers which both seem to be discontinued: SKF VKM 33001 and VKM 363393B. The Cit/Pug number is 6453E0
Does anyone know of an alternative which is still in stock? Any help would be much appreciated!
Regards,
Rhys

Deflection Pulley/Tensioner for 16V
Re: Deflection Pulley/Tensioner for 16V
Fantastic question, the one I have for my car has a totally shot bearing.
I do wonder if it's possible to change just the bearing but I can't see a way to pull it apart.

Re: Deflection Pulley/Tensioner for 16V
Yes it's hard to see how it would come apart - it looks like the bearing is slotted into a deep groove in the pulley. Not sure how that would work but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get it out.
I did manage to find a similar part (Dayco 89044), which is slightly smaller (80mm instead of 85mm originally), and doesn't have the offset mounting hole. With a couple of washers to space it out it seems to work ok though..

I wonder if it's something that could be made up by an engineering firm?
