I've so nearly bought fast fords many times and thought better of it! every time the price shot up over the next year sold a good 2 door Escort Mk II 2 years ago for 350 quid, the shell alones worth 900 -1200 now! turned down an RS1600i cabrio special edition for 1000, an RS 2000 for 2k, watched the lads next door cut up an 1600 sport, the list goes on and still I keep buying genuine bangers

I have to say driving wise the car was superb but the lack of roof lining anf poor heating were no fun at all
At the time I had it running as I wanted it was th eonly "boys car" that could keep up with my mates Nova GTe - one of the very first Courtenay conversions, the great thing about that MK2 was how it pulled so hard in every gear, seem to thinlk it had a 4.1 diff though instead of th eusual 3.9 but it has been a long time
