hi guys,
am i right in thinking that the 16v has 2 water pumps? if so are any of them compatible with water pumps from any other car. as in for spares/replacement?

Er, no mate! They only have one pump! and they are cheap as chips!

Around the £6 mark if you shop around a bit! Though you need to make sure it looks the same as the genuine item, i recall that some of the cheap copies aren't quite so good at getting the water round!

I only ever use genuine bits and last time I got one it was £14 (trade).

hi there,
i never knew they were so cheap! am going to the scrappers to look for some good bits soon. a, i right in thinking the belt must come off to get the pupm out.?

Yepp, belt off. Good time to change it anyway, together with the tensioniers.

my pump is currently working was just thinking about spares. my belts are new so on the next belt change i will do tensioners and water pump! :wink:

my water pump iirc cost me £18 from the factors! only difference i noticed was that it didnt have the edge section on the side of it! apart from that is all good!

The water pump here in a citroen dealer costs 84€! By other maker costs 36€... a BIG difference... is it worth it? i don't think so..
