Santa Pod

Post by csg100 »

Went to Santa Pod today as they had a massive end of season show on. First thing I see when I walk in was a BX. Not quite what I expected though....
Take a lovely BX, 1 careful owner, FSH etc etc:

Plus a monster truck:

Equals one BX that certainly wont be saved:

I hear that so often on here, yet I couldn't disagree more.

Can't say the GTi's do much for me, but what about:

19GT (mk1...cool as hell)
Digit (the same but with an uber smart dashboard)
4TC (Grp B anyone?)
Sport (If only they sold them over here!)

And what about the diesels? They're cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, more comfy, easier to work on, more reliable and easier to source. I love my valver more than a diesel BX, but as an all round car the diesels piss all over the 16v's.
Maybe thats why they get so excited about TZD Turbos on BX Club? I've never understood it personally, as a densel to me is a workhorse rather than a toy like the 16v. But they're easily a superior car.
