sensors etc

hi all,
im thinking sensors like water temp must be the same as some other bx's. i was looking at one of the temp sensors on the valver and was thinking its looks identical to one on the 1.4 bx. or maybe im just wishing it were true? anyone know anything?

As far as the sensor for the temperature gauge goes, if it fits, it's OK.
Some of other sensors differ, for example overheating sensors differ from model to model.
The grey Haynes (as oppose to later blue) gives spec's for most bits.
