Pistons

Post by jayw »

Not 16v relevent due to obvious differences but:

Do the the 1600cc pistons fit the 1900cc 8v engine, can't remember the bore/stroke on either & my Haynes is locked in the garage and the missus has the keys! 74mm/74mm rings a bell?

Been offered a set of 1600cc low comp pistons for my 4x4 that would come in handy for future plans.

Cheers, Jay.

83x73mm for the 1.6 and 83x88mm for the 1.9 and the pistons are different as the 1.9 pistons have dished crowns. Courtesy of Mr Haynes.

Hope that helps :)

wanted to 16v it but apparently it would be too much to make it reliable.

so it's still in bits waiting for god.
