Citroen Accessory 1 - Fire Extinguisher
Has anybody else got one of these? I doubt mine still works after nearly 18 years, but is it rare

fire
Cool -I used to carry a halon one in my Samba as when it had been thrashed it often coughed back through the twin carbs and set fire to the K7N
Found it recently whilst tidying up but sadly it had lost its pressure
Only accessory I have is the boot storage doors
Cheers

I've got 2 16Vs sitting in my yard that we bought as write offs after underbonnet fires, one that got back into the cabin so will never again be able to be put back into service both caused by injector "O" rings splitting and filling the under bonnet area with vapour and then igniting it via the hot exhaust (we presume), so all our cars carry extinguishers.
Interesting thing about the capacity though. They sell a 1kg extinguisher as a standard car accessory, yet when the series one is used at a sprint meet, they won't accept under 2 kg. An XJS 7.2 litre twin turbo my son does tuning work on caught fire on the owner a couple of years ago due to a split fuel line and it took 2 of the 2 kgs variety to "just" put the fire out, so you'd have to wonder what constitutes a capacity capable of doing what is expected in a real emergency.

I had a 1kg powder one in the boot of the hornet. I finally took it out after setting it off whilst wrestling a house radiator into the boot. According to the ex-firemen who did my company fire-marshal course, the powder ones are usually bicarbonate of soda, and if you breath the dust it tends to make you fart a lot.
I hoovered mine out before I went out for the evening, just in case I got lucky!
