I do like the 205, the Gti is a fantastic little car but its some of the idiots that drive them and cnabalise our beloved bxs to make "the ultimate 205" in their view that is the problem.

I don't think it matters really, each to their own. 205's are pretty quick with an Mi in them.
Personally if I was gonna do it, I'd do a 309. But seeing as I prefer the BX to any of them I'll stick with that
It doesn't bother me that they get broken up. It'd bother me if it was one of my old cars. But I've saved two more this year, not much else I can do.

Remember the rarer they get the more the value increases.

Plus its nice being the underdog 8)

205

Post by Toddman »

As Tim says the 205 is a cracking little car it is just the attitude of SOME 205 owners that bugs me but at the end of the day most of them are young and I am not so young anymore :D

Kitch is right about the value but it is an unrealised value as I for one would not part with my car - I probably would for £5k and no I don't think it is worth that but it is worth that much to me as I know full well finding another in such overall good condition to start with would be very difficult.

I agree it is good to be the underdog - especially when it has a bite like the BX 16

I agree Luke, I wouldn't part with mine now (after last years falling out with it!). Even if I got £2k for it, I still wouldn't sell because theres nothing else thats gonna make me happier while costing so little. I'd love a TVR, and one day I'll have one. But if I got rid of the BX there would be a little hole left I reckon.
