after completing rear engine's electrics and cooling system, we attempt
and manage to start the rear engine for the very first time!

Image

it started fine, with the grease on the exhaust manifold burning off a bit.

just to let you know this is still going on (a bit less intensive lately though),
i just haven't had time to make a worthy update to the story for a whole
month now, but there's a crucial one coming up soon! :)

thanks.

wow, well spotted that! :D

getting very hard to get hold of in Croatia but still readily availably here.

Unleaded is only 95 octanes and can rarely be found as Unleaded Plus [98].

i'm afraid i'm not sure what those ratings mean exactly, but as i said:

Leaded (aka Super) = 98 octanes
Unleaded = 95 octanes
Super Unleaded = 98 octanes

that's it - the moment of truth! and not just that but it's a race
with time as well, as this happens from 1AM to 3AM and we
have to leave for season's last drag race at 5AM!

Image

unfortunately, a cracked rear expansion tank messed up our plans
for the race :(. still, it was a very productive night and i'll leave it
to you to decide if the car met the expectations or not ;).

Over here your Euro Normal 91 RON would have been 2star (though ours had lead)

95 RON Unleaded is our Normal

97-99 RON Unleaded is our Super

98 RON Leaded is our old 4star and some (including me) would say the old motors have never run the same on unleaded irrelevant of octane rating.

ah you were on about 91 (aka Regular), i thought you were on about Leaded (98).

i agree with you about old cars and leaded fuel!

btw, due to a few mistakes (such as the wrong caption), i've had to
replace the video, so the link has changed to:
