Hello peops,

Bit of a long term one but I want my BX to end up being as good as it was when it left the factory - in fact better, I really want to get it a leather interior! So please let me know if you have one going or know somewhere with one.

I will drive to collect.

Cheers y'all :)

I'd be tempted to part with my leather in search of a MINT Le Mans interior.

bugger! mine is alright (i am sure with in half hour i could make it look mint with no troubles!!!) but i have a seat wire poking out the drivers squab!! grrr! hahah! my reasons are purely because its goignt o be a lot easier to get baby sick of leather than it is cloth lol! :D

I'd be tempted to take a pair of standard 16V seat frames and try fitting the leather covers so you can keep the adjustable lumbar for both front seats - bet the left/right can be sorted easily.

I'm not a fan of leather, unless you've got air-con to keep you cool in summer, but at least with lumbar adjustment you could cut down the sliding about issue.

TBO the leather is not all that, i always wanted it and now i have it i'm not really that impressed  looks nice but as has been said you slide about abit if you dont fill the seat completely with your arse and you try sitting on it with shorts and T shirt on in the heat of summer  .

Timmo, as for vomit unless it is projectile vomit you should be fine, just ban anything edible from the car mate  works for me.

Also remember the leather seats arent 16v seats just leatherclad GTi/TZD types as far as im aware they never did 16v seats in leather.

You are correct Tim.

The optional leather was available for the TZD, GTi and GTi16v and is based upon the GTi seats without the lumber adjustment.

Are you trying to say i have a fat arse then? I didnt think my arse was all that big, and i'm hardly the biggest guy in the world, but i certainly don't slide around in them! That said mine have been very well looked after and are pretty soft and well nourished.

Being a paddler they get a lot of abuse that fabric just can't keep up with, and they look much better than the fabric trim! But it's true about them burning in hot weather (but like theres much of that in the UK) and they can get cold in the summer, and they are deffinately not as comfortable as the 16v seats with the added upper body support.

I love my leather, and having had most combinations of interior that you can get in the BX the leather looks the best but the 16v trim is much improved for comfort!
