Sorry guys, it's not a 16V part, but I'm after low milege 1.9 TD lump, preferably form Evasion or 806 (same engine), I know severaly others had that engine inside too, but I'm not sure if it's a straight fit.

It's for my second daily driver, the poor thing has got 320k km on the clock and I'd like to change it's heart so I'll bit a bit longer.

If it is of help, the Xanthia 1.9TD engine will fit into the BX engine bay, my last runner had one fitted, wasn't bad at all.

How are you going to get it back to Slovenia though ?

Well it's not for BX, it's for Evasion.

Might need someone to confirm this but, in the UK the Evasion is called the Synergie!


If anyone is worried about postage, don't! Having worked with Ziga to get parts to Slovenia, i can assure you it's actually LESS painfull than walking to the post office and posting an A5 letter to the same place. I had not a single problem getting a gear box to Ziga, and i put no effort into it either!

i have access to a hdi turbo from a 2002 berlingo if its the same ? everythings there including turbo,loom,ecu ect... on around 70k when it was taken from a rear ended van last year... its not mine so would have to confirm a price, but you would have to arrange transport.

alternatively i have a td xantia engine... m reg car over 100k but v good...

Well I'm not "specialised" in those TD engines, so I don't know if Xantias engine is a straight swap into Evasion/Synergie.

I'll talk to local dealer about this and let You know...

How much do You want for it anyway?

As for HDi, I don't think it's even close to a straight swap as loom needs to be changed as well.

It still has most of a BX bolted round it, and whilst it ran fine when it was on the road, the bitch that lives three doors down from here gave the front end a good smack with her car, writing it off, and I am still awaiting an insurance payout.

Well take Your time, I'm not in a hurry at all, I have fixed the gearbox problem, I only need XU11D rear engine mount, anyone have one lying around?

Received the correspondence from the neighbours insurers and apologise for the delay in responding, it has taken time to get hold of all the responses to the Link questions, all of which have involved time and effort to obtain.

Anyway, breaking down into the key issues

1) I do not know why I was advised to verify the MOT/V5 status from you letter of 2/02/06. If the cars value at the time of write off by the dozy bint had nothing to do with the documentation pertaining to the car, then why would you have asked me to find duplicates?

I have made a number of calls to the garage that originally MOT'd the car in 2004/5 (who keep no record prior to computerisation), calls to the overseeing MOT authoritiy vehicle inspectorate (VOSA), Surrey police (who took all details after the incident when the neighbour failed to divulge that she had been negligent in leaving her kids in control of the car) , and the scrap merchant that took the majority of parts away once the exise had run out, please ensure a full half day for the wasted exercise is added to the total losses to date (estimated at a further £55).

2) The claim that the local council is responsible for cleaning of the road is true up to a point, however since the vehicle was written off over a weekend, it has been confirmed during a visit to the environmental department at Elmbridge in charge of street cleaning, they would subcontract cleanup activities to a third party, who would simply put down sand on any leak of fluid, leaving it to be blown away or otherwise dissipate. This would not have cleared up stains left by the leak of LHM fluid/radiator fluid, nor would it have returned the road outside the house to a reasonable condition. There would also be the added the risk of the following
a) pets would inadvertently tread in the fluids, bringing them into the house,
b)suffer poisoning as a result of fluid ingestion, or
c) that one of the neighbours children would stain their clothing and I would in some way be deemed responsible for the Fazlis feral methods of raising them (there are similar cases of sucessful claims by stupid people within the Darwin award book of 2004).

As before, had the dozy bint listened to the suggestion that witnesses were available immediately after the incident, rather than deny the events ever occurred as a direct result of her negligent attitude, and responsibly dealt with the issue from the start, there would not have been the need to wait for admission by the insurers in their letter earlier this year, nor continue to put counter half baked points designed to simply stall, ultimately leading to greater expense for this policy holder to be claimed back.



3) I have checked with the accountant responsible for the 2005 company records and confirm that a thirteen week balance sheet detailing income / expenditure can be processed once I have the start and finish dates from Link.
The estimate is that this would take no longer than three hours including time for printing, and to this end, £96 should be sufficient to carry out the request. If this acceptable please supply a cheque made payable to Sat-Elite Ltd within the letter that confirms the two dates and I will return a completed balance sheet to you. I do however have concern that having already forwarded the details of customers of the company that had their work postponed and eventually cancelled as a result of the dozy bints actions in April 2005, we are once again looking at a deliberate stalling process by Link since they are reluctant to pay out losses that are fully based upon their clients stupidity.

4) Most importantly I once again enclose correspondence from Surrey Police over documentation held on record, relating to the excuses given by Mr Sadik Fazli in the letter of 07/05/05. The content as described by Mr AP Brown (prosecution officer) apparently sheds light on Mr Fazlis partner to start the vehicles engine, and then leave control of the Daewoo to her kids to drive about in when she chose to go back inside the house. It should also contain reasons behind the incident that may hold bearing on why the bint would have denied responsibility until notified there were multiple witnesses to her actions on the day. To this end, you should at once urge Link obtain and forward a copy of this letter for your own records, either from Surrey Police, or direct from the Fazlis, the content of which should allow Shoosmiths to conclude this matter immediately.

Once again, please reiterate to the third party insurers of the time spent working on the above, and the additional cost of generating further paperwork over a vehicle written off by their policyholder, an amount which I confirm will be persued directly from the Fazli family should a settlement offer from Link be further deliberately delayed. I trust you now have all details necessary to satisfactorily conclude this matter within the next calendar month, however if Link continue to stall settlement to the full value of receipts already submitted plus subsequent costs as above, then I will have no hesitation to claim interest on the total amount at the request of the county court, backdated to the point when their policyholder willingly left her children in control of the car.
