there only a couple of quid, think about £5 a side from GSF, or £12 a side from citroen. Buy new, deffinately the way to do.

I dont think they are much from Citroen/Motor factors, I needed one doing and I think the pipe and clip was less than £20.

Vanny beat me to it.
I never thought I'd say this, but go to Citroen
You'll have change from £20 for 2 pipes and 2 clips, worth doing once and correctly.

Handy tip to fit the clip- use a pair of pincers like you use to pull small
nails out of planks to close the clip nicely.

they also crush the rubber block and a) lead to faster failure of the rubber b) restrict fluid flow and lead to premature strut failure. Proper metal quick IS the only way to do it properly.

sorry mate, rubbish, overtightening things may reduce flow, but ive found the metal straps are not reliable! the tie is stronger and with the plate in place it reduces no flow and restricts the pipe in no way, ive been doing it this way on near 8 bx's for the last 5 years without probs or leaks, until they persih with age that is.

certainly not for the win! i spend a lot of time designing good connectors, a cable tie isn't one of them, its a world renowned bodge and i'll be sticking to the real thing given the minute cost!
