Bertie back in action

Post by Gary C »

Bertie will be at Brands Hatch on 11th November for two Tin Top saloon races. He will be tottering round in class T3 on the Xsara's rims fitted with the road rubber we've been using in the Sport Maxx Cup. Should be interesting. Very interesting!

We ran it last week in a 2 driver race at Brands. Finished 14th overall. It will now disappear into Richard's paint shop and be tarted up for next season. It may well reappear as a phase 2 depending on the budget. John wants the engine/box out so he can do a complete rebuild and squeeze out a few more horses. The whole lot should be back together in the new year ready for a test programme to sort suspension and brakes. The new suspension units cost more than the car!

Bertie was back to his winning ways yesterday claiming class honours in T3 along with fastest lap in both races.
