Nice Sunday afternoon in the sun on the Quay. Driving along at 20 when some tosser doing nearer 40 swerved around a parked car, crossed the centre line and got me. I travelled 3-4 metres before stopping he managed 10 or more :(

The good thing is no one was hurt.

It looks bad, it is bad, no drive, front doesn't rise and I'm gutted.

Looks like a write off to me :(

Bet I can't get the pics to load !

:( Pictures don't work but by the sounds of it it dont look good.
Gutted for you Simon, hope you manage to get a good insurance claim out of it to replace your 16v, not much comfort I know but at least you are all OK and that IS the main thing.

Really sorry to be reading your bad news.

Jez

PS if your having probs with the pics, mail them to me and i'll post them up for you.

i have some of the parts to rebuild the superficial side of things, but i think i have to agree i doubt that will make it back to the road! Shame there are no good valvers on the bay at the moment.

Thats a scary sight i hope i never have to see in the flesh.

As if I need another reason to hate them ... a Vauxhall Cavalier.

There is unfortunately some buckling of the A post but we will see and I'm stubborn (I already have a guy at work after the engine, ecu and loom for his 205 :x )

My mechanics / body shop are very good and will do a thorough assessment and all and we will see. I have 4 speedlines in need of refurbishment (I got the ones on the car off ebay a few weeks back). My concern is all the bits and pieces that are a knock on effect from the bash ... just when it wasn't leaking too ... well I did want a full respray ... you've spent HOW much on it !!!

I also realised Sunday was 10 years to the day since I arrived from New Zealand ! Happy Anniversary ... not !
