A bit like that film Desperately Seeking Susan. Never seen it and no intentions to, but I do badly need a 16v BE3 gearbox! My spare has inadvertantly and accidentally been given away in the boot of a mondeo

My current has collapsed internally!

BX is going to pieces next week and I need a box to put it back together with!

DOH DOH DOH!
The only spare box I have is a BE1.

You could of course rebuild the box you have.
Synchro's aint cheap, but bearings are not otherwordly expensive and they are realy easy to strip and rebuild.

we got one in the garage at my dad's house... not sure what it is though....

You try getting a GTi one and rebuilding it with
the gears from the 16 valver.or vice versa.

Tis ok, I found one. Course it was the clutch all along, but hey ho! I've got a spare now
