Starting my dads 16v after at least a year standing still

Post by Simran »

Just wanted to tell you guys my dads 16v started first time after standing still for at least a year and after this nasty winter. Picked itself off the ground and revved smoother than my own. Very impressive for an old car with a very very dirty looking engine that has had countless bits nicked and swapped with parts from mine to get mine running. I'll get a pic of the engine bay just to show you how filthy it is and you will realise why im so amazed by it. I did it this morning while my dad was still lazing around in bed, he jumped out and ran downstairs with a massive smile on his face. :P

I wish he would, he keeps moaning his xantia is costing too much, im probably going to try and get it in good order in the summer to try and tempt him into using it again.
