ive broken down, anyone know a good citroen specialist
Im stuck in sheffield but luckily have a couple of days here till i need to come back, anyone know a citroen specialist where i can get parts from in the sheffield area, or a fellow bx enthusiast who might happen to have a regulator to accumulator pipe? This is the second one that has snapped on me, im guessing the knackered pump is sending pulses along it fatigueing it and cracking it everytime, can feel very very strong pulses in it that doesnt seem normal. Car has lost all oil and has covered engine bay in it so much it wont start now at the worst i'll join AA and get it recovered home. if this is the case, its coming off the road while i replace EVERYTHING for new, ive had enough of it all breaking. MAybe a motorbike or 205 like i had before to replace it for a while.
Simran, before you join the AA take a look at this bunch

All sorted, i left the car there for the week and went back by train on monday armed with tools, new pipe and a gallon of oil to top up. With all that lot in my bag, if id have had to walk through an xray scanner at the station, airport style, id have been stopped because they would have thought i was a terrorist! but car is fixed and home now...just in time as my Megasquirt ECU has arrived and i have a day off tomorrow
Best you replace both the flow divider and regulator together,
something has gone wrong there, overpressuring.
Anyone has done a Xantia conversion job here, thinking of doing
that or fitting in a non-power steering from a 16RS.
Any suggestions.if anyone done a xan type conversion
pls do post some pics here.

Good work Simran.
I will be interested to hesr how you get on with the MS ecu especially if you don't do any other mods when you first fit it - my feeling is on a totally standard motor you wont see any gains except maybe 3 or 4 hp for a custom map but of course you open up the box for when you make other changes.
Don't know how your French is Simran but have you seen this - http://pagesperso-orange.fr/BXmegasquirt/index.html
Cheers

Wow, thank you sooo much for finding that as those spark tables will be a massive help
Im not expecting massive gains,id love to get back the factory power that mine has been lacking for so long, it really feels like it only has about 140bhp at the moment. Im really after good throttle response as blipping the throttle on downshifts on air flow metre equipped cars just gets standard ecus in a mess and spoils the driving.
I do have head work planned for when i can afford it but that probably wont be till next summer as a motorbike comes next after this on my spending list.
Thanks again Luke
