Removing lock from petrol cap
How do you do it? I'm probably being really dense but I cant figure it out and dont want to break it by forcing it some way i shouldnt!

the thin hard plactic ring needs to be remove from the inside (it goes round the flaps that hold the cap into the flap), then push the cap out from the flap.
In the end of the cap (in the bit that would normally be in the fuel tank side) there is a small metal pin (about 12mm in length), this pushes through (from either side) and then the pock barrel will come out pretty easy.
The struggle is removing that pin without damaging the plastic casing, mine currently shows signs of heavy vice abuse (it was very stiff!)

Cheers Vanny, all sorted now. Luckily I didnt need to remove the pin as I was replacing it with a second hand lock that came complete with the casing
