AFM to Inlet main hose

Post by Toddman »

Hi chaps
I need the main inlet hose that connects the AFM to the inlet manifold, I can make do without the rest of the breather system but if anyone has one be it just the main part or with the network of hoses I am interested so drop me a pm please.

I am watching the ones on ebay but if I can find one from someone I know so much the better.

Many thanks
Luke

No mate there were a couple on there and I missed the first one so bid a few quid more than it went for on the next but missed it as well :(

It is needed for my latest valver not the white one so not really urgent but would be nice to get it sorted before the MOT runs out so I can keep it on th eroad and in use.

Cheers

You have another valver Luke??

What have I missed?

Alas the only "spare" I have is split where it attaches to the aFM so it's of no use to man nor beast, but I'll have a dig around, Tony Weston might have one..

When I installed my green (open) airfilter I also used a 405MI16 hose to connect the inletmanifold to the AFM. The peugeot version is a bit shorter but without the original airbox (and with a homemade bracket for the AFM) it fits and looks very nice.

Perhaps finding a peugeot version is a bit less hard.

Thanks for that - my white valver has a bracketed AFM so if I got an mi hose I could fit it and use the proper BX item on my silver one.

Chris - good to hear from you :) my latest valver is still a little under wraps LOL! but basically it is a silver P2 H-plate ex citroen car with just 3 owners and the last owner a member from here has kept it in superb condition after around 15 years of ownership.
She is still on the road and all standard with about 130k clocked up and I plan on tidying up any little niggles and keeping he rin the family 8)
Here are some pics just taken this afternoon -

I would like to attend Stratford but it depends on the date, I am busy all this month but if it is Aug/Sept I should be there even if I have to slum it in the xsara or C5 LOL!

It looks better from a distance!
Still needs alot of mopping / polishing etc to get the glassy finish, but the lacquers still a bit soft to go mad with, so I'll hang fore a couple of weeks..

Stratford is:
29th - 31st August, usual place, the race course.

Me and the boys are bringing UBER amounts of beer this year so it should be an event we'll never remember!

Would be good to see ya again!
