cheers lads, the picture is from an ebay ad and it is listed as being for an Mi16. I couldn't really remember what the BX one should look like, mine is still split! Will have to glue it again i guess.

Any suggestions for a suitable glue?

clean the sh*t out of it with degreaser then thinners, and use polyurethane-the black stuff you get in tubes for a caulking gun. basically set up the inlet in a prone state, and lock it solid somehow, couple of bits of wood either side, big vice etc. Have split facing up, and fill the split, then cover the entire area either side with a 2-3mm skin,as you need as much of a mechanical bond as poss-there will only be a small chemical one, due to the age of the old inlet. You can smooth the urethane down with a kerosene/turps filled brush. My 2 pence!

AFAIK the pug item is slightly shorter but can be used especially easy if you have a cone filter.

got an expensive K&N panel filter, which i rather like so shall stick with that for now. Will have a crack at repairing the hose. Cars off the road at the moment so there is no rush!
